The better half & I had an overnighter here for my birthday. Family members have been out here for play & stay had raved about the course. We didnt play but we enjoyed the stay part. First impressions walking in was clean & tidy, cosier than almost every other resort Ive been to. Considering how dry it is out there they must spend a fair amount of time keeping the dust out.. The room was clean & the beds comfy. Staff were great, bar prices reasonable. Main lap pool was out of action for maintenance but others were open & clean. To my surprise the pools were salt water pools yay!! The staff at the restaurant were professional, courteous & friendly... & the food.. we ate alacart, the two meals we ordered are not easy to cook but they were both done to perfection. The desert we ate also was delightful.. The area around the restaurant is obviously under renovation the waiter told use there is going to be fountains being installed In the new ponds surrounding. Weve already decided were coming back & brining the Ute and mtbs. Might even force myself to distroy a perfectly good walk with a game of golf. Cheers.
Nice little getaway. Brilliant golf course
I contacted the resort early November to see whether organising a surprise golfing birthday party for my husbands 70th was easily doable. This involved another 6 couples being accommodated as well as more for the birthday dinner. All the staff, especially Ros and Karen, immediately went into the helpful mode regarding suitable contact times, setting up accounts and all sorts of other preparations. Providing a variety of glasses for the pre-dinner get together in the Presidential Suite a great example. All staff were absolutely terrific at making things flow smoothly and secretly. A spectacular success in a superb setting with a fabulous golf course appreciated by the golfers and non-golfers. While it is clear the resort is working to get back to full facilities and there are signs where some work is needed, the whole experience of dealing with people obviously committed to getting this done was immensely positive. We will go back though I doubt I can get away with making it a secret again.
Nice drive from the Gold Coast, just far enough to feel like youre going somewhere :) I think knowing a bit of the history makes you take more of an appreciation of the place and why it is the way it is, a long story short, the resort is still being fixed up so dont expect perfection and being such a large older complex there is a lot of maintenance to do but they are getting there, other then that we found it quite relaxing and slow paced, food, service, golf facilities were all good. To be honest if there wasnt golf Im not sure I would go back but did have fun (friends, food, drinks, golf)
I have visited the day spa, the Oasis Wellness Resort and it is impeccable. Brings out the five star qualities of the resort. For very upmarket clients, and people who love golf but also to indulge their senses fully. The entire place is magnificent. The restaurant buffet is delicious. I have been several times with family and my partner, and we love the place. My favourite place.
